Tampa Bay's newest celtic folk and pub band
Fiddle, Mandolin, Guitar & Vocals
Bryan began his musical journey at age 10 in a school string music program on viola. With years of classical music training under his belt,
he played violin/viola in the Purdue Symphony and various symphony orchestras over the years in the Dayton/Cincinnati area. Bryan jumped
into the Celtic music wave in 1997 and later joined FinTan, playing fiddle and mandolin with them for almost 20 years before moving south
to St. Petersburg, Florida. In Florida full-time since 2021, Bryan connected with kindred spirits as a founding member of Drunken
Shrubbery!
Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin & Vocals
Matt has performed since 1986 throughout the Tampa Bay Area and Southeast US as well as stints in Seattle and Nashville, performing his
original music as well as pop, rock, folk, and celtic music, both as a solo performer and in numerous bands including Lucky Burglar, D20,
and Druid Roots. He has also played throughout the region at renaissance and pirate themed events with acts such as For Love or Money and
Demzarrah Gypsies. On top of all that, he is a visual artist and guitar builder whose whimsical creations are regularly featured onstage at
Drunken Shrubbery shows!
Percussion, Bass & Vocals
Tim set out on his path by playing keyboards and singing for local 90's Pinellas classic rock bands Ohm's Law, New Band of Gypsies, and ROUS.
Around 2015, he discovered bass, and went on to tie down the low end for classic rock cover band Primal Shift, and later for the D20 Band,
where he split lead vocal duties with Matt. Drunken Shrubbery adds to this his experience with hand percussion, rounding off his duties as
part of the band's rhythm section.
A long time ago, in the far flung jungles of the South Shore of Long Island, a drummer was forged. Thrown into the craft at an early age, he
plied his skills with school orchestras, marching bands and pipe corps. Keith was a staple of the New York music scene until calling the Gulf
Coast of Florida his home. Somewhere down the line, some unbalanced blokes gave him a place to make people sing and dance, bringing him in
as the fourth member of Drunken Shrubbery.
Matt & Bryan at Mary Margaret's in DTSP, June 2023
It all began in the summer of 2022 between Bryan and Matt who had met in various collaborative projects with
the Bite-Size Band. Both Matt and Bryan thought it would be fun to take their mutual lifelong love of Irish pub music
to the next level as a full band, and with the addition of Tim, whom Matt had played previously with in the D20 Band,
the core of what was to come began to take shape.

Devoted Monty Python fans, it was quickly decided that the name of this new project would undoubtedly involve a shrubbery.
A NICE one.
But not TOO expensive.
And that it would also include something to do with the boys' OTHER favorite pastime, drinking fine frothy and boozy libations.
And thus, Drunken Shrubbery was BORN!
First performing a short set under this name at a neighborhood holiday festival in the Historic Kenwood neighborhood of St. Petersburg,
Drunken Shrubbery went on to make their professional debut as a headlining act on Saint Paddy's Day 2023 at Mickey Quinn's Irish
Pub in Seminole.
Keith at Cage Brewing in St. Pete, May 2023
Shortly after this, the trio tapped Keith, a fellow Bite-Size alum, as percussionist and fourth vocalist for the shows where there's
room on the stage to bring out the BIG guns!
Drunken Shrubbery are devoted to delivering their audience the very best blend of traditional celtic folk music, classic Irish pub
favorites as well as the occasional fun contemporary tune thrown in there for sheer cheek!
With top notch musicianship, an extensive and constantly growing repertoire and strong vocal harmonies, you can count on yer boys in
